What a fun packed fantastic half term we have had in foundation. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to another after the holiday. We hope you have a lovely peaceful relaxed week and if you fancy doing lots of reading please take some pictures and bring them into school when we return, as we would like to celebrate the reading we do in school and at home by producing a reading display.
Take care, have fun and we will see you on Monday 25th February.
We've had a great week celebrating Chinese New Year.
This week we are continuing our topic on traditional tales and reading the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears...We might even make some porridge!
Thank you for coming into school this week, whether it be to enjoy a school lunch with your child or to join in our 'come and read morning 'on Thursday.
The children have really enjoyed sharing this time with you and we really value your support.
WOW! such a lot has happened this week in school and we have had so much fun. We have learnt about different faiths and cultures and tasted lots of different foods from around the world. We showed off our lovely traditional clothes and even learnt an African dance! We also made bracelets of different coloured beads to represent all the different religions around the world.
On Friday we went to see the pantomime; Dick Whittington at the Juniors and dressed in character costumes.
We laughed, clapped and sang along to the songs!....pictures to follow.
We have had a great time being scientists this week and investigating ice.
Don't forget to read our curriculum letter to find out what we are learning about in F2 and also please use Education City to consolidate the learning we do. There are a variety of activities to complete every week that help the learning we do in the classroom.
Don't forget it's Faith and Culture Day on Thursday and your child can come in clothing that reflect their faith and culture. We would love your support in the classroom if you are able to offer your expertise in the faith and culture you practice. Also we would love to celebrate the day by trying different foods from around the world so any donations would be much appreciated.
We have had a lovely first week back, learning all about the winter season and the story Frozen.
We are all looking forward to our 'Frozen' parties next Friday (18th January). The children can wear something blue or a Frozen costume on the day. If you have any questions about the day please come and talk to your child's class teacher.
Happy New Year and welcome back to a brand new term...We hope you have had a fantastic Christmas and New Year and looking forward to the term ahead.
This term we are looking forward to Faith and Culture Day, Chinese New Year and Maths Enterprise Week. Details regarding these events will come out to you nearer the time.
