Well, what a fantastic final week to the Autumn term we have had. The children have loved reading and interpreting data and create different graphs - their maths books look brilliant!
We have been busy writing instructions to help Santa and the reindeers get ready for Christmas - they are reindeer dust experts!
In topic we have been thinking about how different people prepare for Christmas and thinking about what they are looking forward to the most for Christmas and the new year. All this aswell as Christmas parties and creating Christmas crafts.
We are extremely proud of how the children have settled into year 2 and have enjoyed watching them grow and mature while making fantastic progress in their learning.
We look forward to see you in 2020 and wish you all the best for the holidays.
Year 2 team
We have had a very successful careers week. Thank you so much to the parents who have come into school to talk to the children about their jobs - this has been very informative and the children have loved asking questions about the different careers.
We also had a special visit from an officer from Derbyshire police force who the children loved questioning about her day-to-day role.
It has been very beneficial to the children which has shown in the fantastic work they have created including job adverts and writing about their dream career. They all looked amazing today - a vision into the future!
Keep posted for photos of our week - coming on Monday!
Hello :-) and welcome back to Autumn 2!
The children have settled back in brilliantly and have been working so hard!
We had a great trip to the Hindu Temple and the children were able to showcase what they had learnt by creating an information poster.
Thank you so much for your fantastic science experiments and unusual reading spots - we love them!
Take a look at next week's learning and don't forget to practise your spellings.
