Some of our Character Curriculum work!

Week 1 - beginning with 02.09.2019

Welcome back!  We hope you have had a fabulous Summer break.  We have lots of exciting things planned for Year 3 and we are really looking forward to the start of a new term.

This week we will be looking at our character curriculum starting with 'courage'.  We will also begin to find out about our France topic, which we will continue with throughout the Autumn Term. Our English work will be based around this topic as well as the book 'Minpins' by Roald Dahl.

Keep checking our website for updates relating to homework and activities that we have been doing in class. Maths and class homework will be handed out on a Friday for returning the following Thursday. Maths homework needs to completed every week whilst class homework is completed bi-weekly. There will also be spelling homework to prepare for a test each week. The spellings booklets will be coming home in the next couple of days. Remember to read for at least four times a week and record it in your organiser.

A big focus this year in maths is times tables. Your child will be given a login for Times tables Rockstars to practise at home!

We hope you have a fun and enjoyable start to the new year.
