06.09.19

Well done for a fantastic first week! We have been really impressed with your behaviour and hard work! We have began our WW2 topic and enjoyed reading the first chapter of 'The Boy in Striped Pyjamas'. We also looked in detail at the different parts of the eye.

Next week we are: looking at the causes of WW2 in history, developing our shading skills in art and looking at how light travels in science.

Don't forget there are football trials on Mon/Tues and hockey trials on Wednesday.

Get creative covering your homework books and don't forget to hand in your maths homework.

Keep up the hard work :)

Year 6 Team

This week we will begin reading The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas - a great book which ties in with our WW2 topic. Additionally, we will be finding out where WW2 fits into British history by creating a class timeline. In Science we will be exploring the eye and begin to find out all about how it works.

Class and maths homework will be added to the homework section of the Year 6 page on Friday.

There's lots to look forward to; we're sure we will have a fantastic year together!
