We follow the
Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised programme for teaching phonics.
Learning our letters and sounds plays a fundamental role in how our children learn to read.
From nursery age, children will begin their phonics journey listening for and learning new sounds.
Through Foundation and Year 1, the children will learn new phonemes and graphemes in their daily phonics lesson, to help them read and spell.
On the Little Wandle website, there is a 'For Parents' area and it has really useful resources to help support your child. There are videos to help with the sounds - these are very useful.
Please have a browse and just ask your child's teacher if you need any help.

Here are some website to have some phonics fun -
Phonics comics from Phonics Play
Look for the phase and sounds your child is learning and enjoy reading the comics together. You could have a go at making your own comic strip using your letter sounds.
